Clients with METAL hip replacement, shock health warning.

Due to the use of metal on metal "ball and socket" hip replacement of type called ASR. Excessive wear of the artificial joint materials could be causing pain and swelling around the hip joint.

Your client may report a  metalic gruanching when trying to use their hip. Do not massage the area, as this materials failure releases harmfull chrome and metal deposits into the bloodstream.

 

If your client has an ASR metal hip replacement INSIST your client gets a blood test. This may help diagnose the source and severity of the potential failure of the artificial joint.

 

This warning may also apply to other metal on metal ball and socket joints.

 

Your client and your clients Doctor should all ready have been made aware of this potential for failure?.
