As Massage Therapist we have such a great opportunity to help people in so many different ways. When mentoring to anyone at any age, therapist or student our works will show through them. So never be afraid to show loving kindness to them. No matter what, you will feel great in the future just knowing that you were a part of their walk in life.

Heidi, great message ! I do have a feeling myself as well, of being rewarded when helping a younger person with their future in a positve way.

I believe mentoring is an incredible way to give back what you have been blessed with yorself! It is so rewarding. I have not only mentored young massage therapists, but also any high school student that has ever helped out at my office has loved getting the chance to see how a business is run.

Our new organization to help raise money for charities while helping new or struggling therapists earn extra income has a large mentoring aspect to it which makes it extra fun for me!

Gloria, it would really make me feel great if the students that I mentor would join in with me and travel through time and crossing paths in the future as Massage Therapist

Mentoring is wonderful!  I have mentored many over the years and have seen the growth of each individual. It is an honor to spend time with a serious student who wants to master their skills.

It is actually up to each individual owner. Our Owner is all for it. He is for hiring the therapists once licensed out of school and if he feels they need some further instruction he will call on one of 3 of us who mentor within our clinic.

I was one who did not have a personal/ business mentor, so motivation was very instrumental in getting me to the point where I am at today. However there have been a few instructors who have helped me along the way. I really think as time passes there will not only be more opportunitys for more mentors to help the graduating Highschool seniors, but also as they move along through school ( Massage ). As they graduate from massage school, there will be times they too will need help along the way. Here at Massage and Bodywork Professionals  will be a great place to find a mentor. Its great that Massage Envy allows a Mentoring Program.

At Massage Envy Pensacola, there are several of us who are mentoring the new employees right out of school. It helps so much when they have a great attitude about it. I always tried to be open to suggestions when I was a student, I am so glad I was fortunate to have a mentor as so many do not.

What a pleasant surprise ! I just finished a session, 1 year ago and I receive a call from my administrator of my massage therapy school and she ask me if I would consider being a mentor for a highschool student. I was so happy that she thought enough of me to ask me to take on this venture. It went very well, and i just finished with my second highschool student at a different school  and now the school video taped this student and now the video to be used to help with future school mentor programs. Im looking forward to assisting with the next student and hopefully lead them to a prosperous career in massage therapy.
