Looks like a party around here...my pastry chef-younger darling just brought home tira misu she made in class tonight. Guess I better spend more time in the weighty group...after I finish it! Thinking of all of you...

Now that my two daughters are out of their teens (yet I live to tell the tale) I'm here to tell you, Lisa, that everything you ever knew about anything will now come back as useful. It's like a little hammer to hold over her head...tell her she can't get away with as much because she's dealing with an expert. (Even if it's not exactly true, it will at least give her pause!) Somehow, mine both grew up straighter than I ever was! My youngest is now 22, the older one is 31 and having her own sometime soon...it will be curious to watch how she does it! Yes it's true, we never stop being parents.

Gettin' rowdy tonight. Gave my notice at work today, and have started the celebrations with two good-sized glasses of port. Next up is wine, a hot bath, and a good book.

Okay. My definition of "rowdy" has definitely fallen from where it was five years ago.

My Middle son is 22, this morning he takes his jacket off the radiator, by yanking it so hard, the rad came out the wall! no leaks yet... this is at 6.45am he owes me £240 rent and he's the only one of my 3 sons thats actually working!
But do you know what? ...I dont care! I've just had a great rub and I got a full diary of clients, the week is looking good .Have a great week everybody !

hahaha...good responses. my daughter is turning 15 in december and is WAY more high maintenance than i EVER was. although she has my sarcasm and questioning of authority so i guess i'm being kicked in the ass with karma. :)

today she gave me hell because her flat iron was broke and she couldn't bare to go to school. i wish i could use the excuse of a bad hair day to not go to work...although i DO work from home so everyday is a bad hair day. hahaha

I think maybe, yes. Mine is only 4 and I swear she's channeling a 16 year old pain in the ass! :) What goes around, comes around. SOOOOOOOO not looking forward to the actual teen years. However, with all my past exploits, I'm hoping to have one up on her. If she's even a tenth as bad as I was..... Lord help me.

All teenagers should be sent to an island until they are in their 20's. Then they can come back to civilization. I find that when they marry and then have kids of their own.....well, one of our sons came up to me and said, "I guess you do know a few things." :)
