It's about that time of year again (to submit our annual taxes.  Hopefully it won't kill us!  ;))

Do you file your own or have an accountant?

What are some of your biggest deductions?

Are there good articles out there that you can post a link to, here, assisting new massage business owners?

What are you having trouble with?  That one big question?

Personally, I have an accountant.  As an independent business owner most of the information is submitted quarterly.

What is a great way to keep organized so that 'tax time' isn't the nightmare most think it is?

Do you usually have to pay, or do you receive refunds?

Please share your ideas...curious minds want to know!

I file my own taxes with the same tax company each year. I keep every good records and total everything at the end of each month. I save every receipt as I can for a tax deductions. Pool supplies and massages are part of self care as well as water. Took Vivian Madisons-Mahoney's Tax deductions class back in 2007 at the World Massage Festival and was an eye opener as to what deductions can be taken. More than I ever thought were allowed.
