Today is a busy day today.

A couple of massages to perform, then, I have to tidy up my massage equipment and supplies for a meeting tomorrow with the representatives of the State Board of Massage Therapists.

I'm unsure if this is a random inspection and meeting or a scheduled one.  They called me last week asking me to meet with them.  I'm happy to comply; I know all my equipment is in excellent working order, and my cleaning supplies meet all the requirements.

Then, off to the local pub for a huge super bowl party.

What does all this have to do with self-care?

The busier we are, the less we really take time to take care of ourselves.

How well do you connect with yourself on a daily basis?  Do you figure out what you need to do then follow through to ensure it is accomplished?

For proper Self Care, You must connect with Yourself on a daily basis.  As massage therapists we always want to take care of others first, not ourselves.  It must be in our DNA.  It seems we always have the best intentions, but the follow through is the hardest part and the most important for taking care of ourselves.

Here's a link to my site and what I do (daily) in regards to self-care.

Kris my self care consists of many things. first I try to get a massage at least every two-three weeks. would apprecicate more but not always possiable. I do some form of yoga daily along with a weekly yoga class with my awesome yoga teacher.
I hike with my 55 lb puppy 5 to 7 days a week in the park. For me I havea big need to connect with mother nature daily when possiable. I also during this time in winter, have many hours with myself or nice quite time.reading . .thanks for asking.
Keep up the great work, Noreen!
