Ok, I'm going to step on some toes with this article, yet it has to be mentioned. What you do with it, well...............that's up to you ;)
A quick preable to this article is in regards to a discussion I had with a friend of mine. He stopped by the house on his way to a couple of his clients. He'd mentioned that he had attended a confrence call with a couple other therapists in regards to marketing ones massage business by one of the local celebs in the massage marketing industry.
Great call he told me, and touched on a few of the highlights. One topic that was mentioned was ones "Why."
Why are you a massage therapist?
Why are you doing this or that?
Repeat, until comfortably numb ;)
First, let me state that yes, you need your "Why" firmly in place.
Second, I'll have to also state that this is a sore point with me, due to the fact that the mlm'ers and network marketing friends of mine use this "Why" line waaaaaaaaay to much. It's also interesting to me how this 'self-help motivational stuff' is now moving into the massage marketing business.
"Don't have enough clients??? Your WHY isn't big enough! You are not clear on your objectives! You haven't stated your Intent!"
