2010 WMF Challenging - But An Overwhelming Success!!!

I would like to thank everyone for their participation in this year's Fest. There were challenges, like when I found out the handball courts opened into each other, as did the sound. The teachers were troopers and worked their way through. They proved it is not just students that are able to be versatile and adapt. Professionals all!

Distance between locations proved a challenge and so did the exercise to get there. We made it and people are registering for 2011 faster than ever. With all the problems already worked out, we are preparing for a fantastic year! We are even trying new methods - to find the perfect combination of events.

ABMP led the way again, taking home "Association of the Year" for the second straight year. Massage Today won the new "Media Award". All the winners can be seen as well as the galleries at http://www.worldmassagefestival.com

We hope you will all join us for the 2011 World Massage Festival at Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, NC July14-18, 2011. Nothing comes close to Festival. It is the "World's Fair of Massage!"

We had the best first class rate instructors and I loved meeting them all, Especially Karina Braun and Angie Patrick. Also love Claire Marie Miller who will certify me in Reflexology just as soon as I finish 8 more CE hours. I plan on beginning this adventure this month. Can't wait then I can teach her method. She has already given me permission. WOO HOO! Already have a student here waiting in the wings. Picked up James Waslaski at the airport and that time with him was very valuable. It was an unexpected added gift for me. The distance between locations was wonderful exercise for all of us. We needed it. One other very important item, It never rained during the day, just one night over night while we were all sleeping. We had the best weather. So I hope everyone will consider the World Massage Festival next year for their hands on CE's. So many free give aways was amazing from full sets of sheets to lotions, CD's, and $500 cash from Massage Today plus we all received a free T-shirt from them. Buying products from vendors I received a great discount on everything I purchased. Massage Envy put on a great spread of food on Saturday night along with the Sock Hop Dance which was so much fun from Massage Warehouse. My very favorite part was volunteering for Sanctuary as I knew all that money was being donation to the Children at the Shirner's Hospital. That was very special to me. The Honors bestowed on me this year were very special also. Watch for the next Newsletter from Massage Envy Hands and Hearts for the article from them. That newletters goes nationwide. WOO HOO. World Massage Festival will finally be famous. LOL www.worldmassagefestival.com you really do not want to miss July 14-18, 2011. It is going to be the best massage convention yet. Get out those penny jars and begin filling them with your loose change. I already have $3 in mine for next year. You will not find a better deal. Thank you Micheal and Cindy for all your hard work from the very beginning of putting together registrations packets, stuffing good bags, set up clean up dealing with unexpections situations. You both kept a wonderful attitude with all of it going on and very little sleep.
