My post from Facebook: Massage Therapists, here's the perfect example of changing prospective clients perception.

I've mentioned massage packages and many don't understand what I mean. It means changing the 'perception' in the perspective clients mind. Not a feature, such as Swedish massage, nor even the benefits of the feature, which assists, but their perception as applied emotionally to their Wants!

Is this mini-van any different than most? No. Look at how they promote this though....Cool parents with a swagger.

Apply this to your massage. Swedish massage. Oh boy, that's about as exciting as watching paint dry. But what if you took your same massage and created a massage package? Upper-Back and Neck Stress Relief Massage Package. Back-To-School-Massage Bash for relieved parents or stressed out teachers.

You still perform Swedish or whatever modality you are performing, it's just that you are adding to it...adding some spice to catch peoples attention.

People purchase out of emotion and justify with logic. Stir their emotions!

Am I asking you to con people? No. You'd better be professional and ethical and deliver an excellent massage.

Here's a few more examples of what I'm talking about in regards to massage packages:

St. Patrick's Day Massage Special

Massage Marketing Tips Using Holidays

What exciting massage packages have you come up with?

I did watch the video after some soul searching.   Don't like rap, still don't, but this "rap" about the Sienna isn't really a rap, is it?  I mean, no cussing, no name calling and you can understand every word.   So it is cool to market what amounts to a rather large SUV that only gets 19/24mpg -- like, my question is "Why does a family of four need a car this size???"   Not that this has anything to do with massage, but this sort of question is what "cool" advertisements keep us from asking.

Oh, I'm such a putz I never advertise. I let my clients do it for me through word of mouth. I realize I am a complete anachronism in today's world, but I refuse to join in the tsunami of advertising that has cluttered our lives.

Excellent. That was a great video. Thanks for sharing that. I like that "Does your massage have swagger". Not just clever but busting it out with a swagger. You make a good point. I find if you apply that same concept of planting seeds of new ideas clients tend to really get the most out of there massage. By bringing the clients attention to their breathe and sensations in their body clients experience a better massage. The breathe turns on the serotonin production in the body. Even if all you got is Swedish in your bag of tricks they will have the best Swedish day ever. Then if you add a massage package you'll have the swagger.

Thank-You Kris ! All these ideas are great, I try to step out of the box every now and then and throw something new out there, to the community. I will use these ideas in up coming events and let you know how they turn out. In the mean time Im still on the edge of the box and peeking out, and staying on my toes for any forein ideas that may come around and share.
