Marketing my business...

Hi all... I currently work for a local chiropractor, however, I am looking for MORE WORK in my local Jacksonville, FL market. Does anyone have some ideas on how to market myself to stand out above other applicants? I would appreciate any input!

Is there any one else?

I hve been wanting to begin a business of my own for some time and just when I think that it is all in order....I am here writing about how I still want it. Things are coming along but I still have trouble with certain aspects of business building when it comes to staying under the radar of the competition. Is there anyone else who might have run into this and if so would you be willing to share a couple ways to go about helping me in fixing this issue?

MTBOK - whats going on right now?

Three weeks into the project and the Task Force is hard at work, and keeping me busy as well! You may recall that the first phase of the MTBOK development is addressing only the foundational elements. The task force is charged with developing a fully vetted (reviewed, commented upon by the stakeholders and updated to include resulting changes) MTBOK which contains the following:

- The Scope of Practice

- A description of the field

- the competencies of an entry level… Continue

Vitamin D Deficiency

As many of us wellness seekers have known, vitamin D deficiency is rampant in America. Vitamin D is the principle regulator of calcium homeostasis in the body. It is essential for skeletal development and bone mineralization. Osteoporosis is responsible for 1.5 million fractures each year, most notably fractures of the vertebrae, forearms, wrists and hips (these are often crippling and sometimes fatal). According to the National Osteoporosis Foundation, one in three women and at least one in… Continue

Energy - Where and When

Energy, what some call life force, is everywhere. It's in all things and flows through all things. Yes, the living and the not so living. OK so my car has energy?! Sure, does the engine give off heat? Have you ever noticed how some mechanics just seem to have "a knack" with cars? It's almost like the car TOLD them what was wrong! This happened to me a few years ago. My car was almost 10 and started to make an odd sound. Knowing about how energy worked, I asked what's wrong? I heard "the… Continue

recent events

Ayoma Life Spa invited us to talk about Ayurveda and Thaiyurveda to a group of VIP's of the Face and Body Show in San Jose. It was very nice to have the opportunity to open a new window to colleagues of the spa industry and hopefully have sparked their interest in the subject.

Is it 500? 750? 650? 1200? Which number of hours is the winner?

Recently in Massachusetts where I live, we got state licensure for Massage Therapy. (no golf claps here; raucous Yahoo's! will do thank you very much) After a long struggle, and thanks to our wonderful AMTA for funding a serious voice in the state house, we now do not have to a) pay separate fees to every health department in towns we wanted to work (i.e. if you practiced in 3 towns you could expect to pay one town 100, one town 50, one town 250--whatever the extortioners, oops! health dept.… Continue

Back Pain & the short right leg syndrome

An exceptionally significant postural issue begging for a logical explanation is the ‘short right leg syndrome’. Although an inferred awareness of right-sided limb length shortness has existed for thousands of years with decades of published research available, no one has yet to produce a universally acceptable answer to these two basic questions:

1. Why the unusual frequency of short right legs seen in clinic?

2. How does this common limb length discrepancy relate to… Continue
