More and More Regulation WILL GO THROUGH

You know why? Because there's no organized group opposing it. It's like herding cats or getting atheists to come to a meeting. There's no Leave Us the Hell Alone Group. That's why one day you'll wake up and if you get a traffic ticket you'll have to notify your massage regulatory college.

That's an outrageous and absurd claim of course. Except it's already the law in Ontario.

I justgot a call from an osteopath looking for advice since an association (not a governing body) has negotiated for exclusive agreements with several insurance companies. If osteopaths who aren't part of teir organization want to treat, they are out of luck with regard to coverage. Joining their association costs $5000 a year. Sounds like restraint of trade to me. I'll pass your experience of what happened there along. She might find it very useful. Thanks!

We had a wonderfull law in the borough of westminster in London that charged £1000 a licence to "offer massage"
It worked so well the only people left offering the service were the prostitutes that could easily afford it .The MTs had to jump borough .
