Readers of my M&B column often ask where else they can read my work. If you're interested, I update my blog at www.chazzwrites.wordpress.com five days a week, Monday to Friday. Do I start moving things out of the way, how are they going to get on my table,
will the client fall off, what modality can I use, will I hurt them?
Let me start by giving a little perspective from a wheelchair (chair) user’s

This post isn’t really about football…
How does it feel when the therapist becomes the patient?
I am writing this as the Buffalo Bills are losing (again) with little chance of recovery. And, as I sit at my computer, I am recovering from a back flare-up. It has been with me for

I am always amazed how many therapists do not have literature in their offices for educational purposes.
I suggest putting out a quarterly newsletter that you can post on your website, in the office and do as mailers. Clients get educated about the wonders of massage and their health and stay connected w/ your business.
I also use these newsletters when I am involved in networking groups. "Massage Marketing" puts out some great newsletters you can customize to your business…

The saga of the now-defunct IMA (International Massage Association) continues. Back in July, Will Green, owner/founder of IMA, basically admitted to sabotaging his own company by failing to turn over $600,000
in insurance premiums paid by massage therapists to the insurance
company.
Markel, a respectable insurance company who had been underwriting IMA’s policies since Feb 1, 2008, discontinued writing policies for IMA on April 6, 2010 due to Green’s non-payment of premiums.…

I've just had my most successful year so far with people suffering chronic pain. Thoracic outlet syndrome 9yrs , Migraine 20 yrs , Back Pain 8 yrs and many more.

Time
You must allocate extra time to their first visit to enable them to relax and tell you everything thats on their minds in…

I hop back and forth between Chicago and Nashville, more in Nashville. Love both cities. I've been a massage therapist since 1982. Wow that dates me! Got my Illinois license in 2004 and my Tennessee License in 2009. I love teaching and happily teach Aromatherapy for Natural Health Institute in Nashville. I also teach continuing education seminars for CARE (Center for Aromatherapy Research and Education), a NCBTMB approved provider. Music is my other career.... singing and signing for kids.…

He really doesn't look impressive yet!
But he's curious and wants to understand what all this "research talk" is all about... so he's going to study and grow and see if he can convince others to do the same.
He heard a real important lady, named Ruth Werner, is going to talk about him on July 13, 2011 at Western Carolina University. He wants everyone to come see Ruth and…
