got to admit that I generally don't see the point in going to a site like that. A straight google search will give me access to names that I would generally trust allot more to help me understand sometimes very complicated diagnoses.
Hi Adam
I apologise, I had not worded the question correctly, there are lots of online medical texts and dictionary's out there, I was trying to point MT's to the benifits of understanding the day to day experiences from the sufferers themselves. Are you still of the opinion sites like this are not helpfull ?

Stephen, thats an interesting site.. But all I look for ,if I have a client thats hurting, are sore spots on their body.. And do my best to eliminate those sore spots..And if I cant do that or greatly diminish their pain in one or two sessions...I tell them I cant help them and refer them on. They have something beyond my capability as a massage therapist and need to see someone else. Usually an MD. Im just a sore spot hunter and eliminator...lol But thats just where Im at...If that site is helpful to you and others, thats good....
Stephen, I didn't know about that site! It's very worthwhile to have the client's point of view; many times they are very knowledgeable about their issues and can offer some real insight. That may turn out to be a good resource for me. Thanks!
Hi Therese, I think there is an important parallel course to be followed here regarding resources, yes we should try and understand research papers, but time and effort spent on patient forums will get ourselves much better prepared to engage positively in that all important first meeting. imho.
