"Weighty Issues"

During discussions here, I've met a lot of people who seem to have added a few pounds here and there. Of course, this is an epidemic. We all, at one time or another, have some extra weight that suddenly appears out of nowhere! That darn dryer is shrinking clothes again! One too many glasses of wine or a pint over the limit. Extra slice of Chicago style pizza anyone? GUILTY! I lost 80 pounds through sheer will and determination. I love to cook, I love to eat, I love food and family dinners, BBQs... you get the picture. I want this group to talk about it. Share your frustrations, gain ideas from others (not lbs), get healthy recipes, new ideas for work outs, anything that is a "Weighty Issue" for you. Please help me. I continuously need the motivation and inspiration to stay healthy. I know there are others out there too.

I got no tricker or treaters this year so luckily I did not buy any candy to tempt me. If I did it would be in the trash.

I gained 50 pounds while I was going through menopause starting at age 48, I am 52 now and the weight will not budge. I guess I have to accept that I will never be a size 8 again but it would be nice to lose some weight. I do not want to become too comfortable being this size.

I don't gain so much in weight during that time as much as the bloating which makes me feel bigger which makes me upset so I quite weighing at that time and chocolate is a big weakness but I have found that if I only eat one of the little bit size bars it seems to help curve the craving and I try to do the dark but sometimes you just got to have a plan old snickers have a great week everyone Halloween maybe over but the rest are still to come lol

...Or finally hit menopause! That happened at age 49 for me. The "need" to eat something isn't great but it doesn't matter anymore, since I can just LOOK at food and gain weight now! Then my body wants to hang onto it. I long for the days when I could skip dinner and lose four pounds. Don't even get me started on gravity... ;o)

So, do any of you ladies have weight issues when it comes to "that" time of the month? All I want to do is eat and it doesn't help things!:)

I have a Neilmed Sinus Rinse system. Works great.

Do you own a netti pot, Darcy? A few really good rinses could really help with that residual drainage thing. I promise, you'll thank me...You too, Samantha!

I truly am better. Just have this lingering end of sinus drainage.

I really hope you two start feeling better soon! It's awful being sick. Not to mention having no motivation to do anything other than sit around feeling awful.
